Responsibility
- Lead daily broadcast operations for live events and studio productions, ensuring on-time delivery and top-tier quality.
- Design, configure, and maintain SDI and IP video paths, including routers, switchers, capture devices, and multiviewers.
- Manage live encoding, streaming workflows, and distribution to platforms such as CDN, OTT, and social channels.
- Monitor system health using monitoring tools; perform proactive maintenance and real-time troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and talent to plan technical requirements, rehearsals, and run of show.
- Architect and implement automation and production workflows for ingest, routing, playout, and logging.
- Document processes, create runbooks, and train junior engineers and operators to strengthen the broadcast team.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on broadcast engineering experience in studio, control room, or OB van environments.
- Proficiency with SDI and IP video, routing, NDI, SMPTE standards, HDR, and frame-accurate switching.
- Experience with broadcast automation systems and control room technology (e.g., Viz Engine, Ross Nexus, Grass Valley Ignite).
- Strong knowledge of live streaming workflows, encoders/decoders, RTMP/RTSP, and CDN distribution.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; ability to work under pressure during live events.
- Certification in broadcast technology or related fields is a plus.
