Responsibility

  • Design, install, operate, and maintain broadcast infrastructure including video routers, switchers, multiviewers, intercoms, and studio lighting control.
  • Manage live transmission workflows for news, sports, and events across SDI and IP networks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot broadcast systems in real time; execute rapid recovery during outages.
  • Develop and implement broadcast automation, playout, and ingest pipelines; optimize for reliability and scalability.
  • Coordinate with IT for network reliability, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document procedures, perform preventive maintenance, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and interns; participate in vendor management and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across the facility.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcasting, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on broadcast engineering experience in live production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SDI-based facilities and IP-based workflows (SMPTE 2110, NDI, RTMP, HLS).
  • Proficiency with broadcast automation and routing systems (e.g., Grass Valley, Ross Video, Evertz, Imagine Communications).
  • Experience with streaming pipelines, content ingest, and cloud-based media workflows.
  • Solid understanding of video codecs, audio routing, waveform monitors, and calibration tools.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; able to perform under pressure.
  • Preferred certifications such as Certified Broadcast Engineer (SBE) or equivalent.
