This role offers exposure to cutting-edge process development, safety-driven culture, and meaningful impact on product quality and sustainability. You will collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to optimize operations and deliver reliable processes in a compliant, cost-efficient manner.
Responsibility
- Lead process design and optimization from concept to scale-up across pilot and production stages.
- Develop rigorous material and energy balances, mass transfer models, and process simulations using leading tools.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and safety teams to implement robust, cost-effective processes.
- Own HAZOP, PHA, and process safety studies; support regulatory compliance and EHS initiatives.
- Manage techno-economic analyses, CAPEX/OPEX estimation, and project justifications.
- Drive continuous improvement via DOE, process analytics, and data-driven decision making.
- Coordinate commissioning and start-up activities; troubleshoot and optimize operations post-implementation.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, SOPs, and transfer to manufacturing teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
- 3-7 years of relevant process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing
- Proficiency with process simulation tools (ASPEN Plus/HYSYS) and data analysis (Python/MATLAB)
- Strong knowledge of reactor design, heat exchange, separation processes, and mass transfer
- Experience with DOE, optimization, scale-up, and pilot-to-production transfer
- Solid understanding of process safety (PSM, NFPA, OSHA) and risk assessment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities
