We are seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to lead process design, scale-up, and optimization across client projects. You will collaborate with R&D, operations, and safety teams to deliver robust, safe, and economical processes. This role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to international projects.
Responsibility
- Lead and optimize chemical processes from concept to commercialization, including process design, simulation, and scale-up.
- Model unit operations such as distillation, reaction, heat transfer, and separation using Aspen Plus and HYSYS.
- Develop process safety analyses, HAZOPs, P&IDs, and change management documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot and improve plant performance, energy integration, and yield optimization.
- Design experiments and coordinate pilot plants to validate scale-up strategies.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement and safe operating practices.
Qualification
- MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering; PE license preferred.
- 5+ years of process engineering experience in chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong proficiency with Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS; experience with dynamic modeling is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering, and unit operations.
- Experience with process safety management, hazard analyses, and LOPA methodologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
