We are seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to lead process design, optimization, and scale-up for new and existing plants. This is a hands-on role combining technical leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibility
- Lead and optimize chemical processes from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Design and evaluate process equipment, perform mass and energy balances, and develop P&IDs and equipment specifications.
- Lead process simulations (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and perform sensitivity analyses to drive design decisions.
- Manage scale-up activities, pilot testing, technology transfer to production, and commissioning support.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and EH&S teams to implement process safety management (PSM) and LOPA reviews.
- Develop and optimize control strategies, instrumentation specifications, and advanced process control concepts.
- Prepare CAPEX/OPEX estimates, support project funding, and manage technical risk assessments.
Qualification
- BS in Chemical Engineering; MS/MS in a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in chemical/process engineering, preferably in petrochemical or specialty chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, reaction kinetics, and process design principles.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools for P&ID development.
- Experience with process safety management (PSM), LOPA, hazard analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
