EnerTech Solutions is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join our process design and optimization team in Houston. You will lead scalable process development, perform mass and energy balances, reactor design, and safety/compliance initiatives. Responsibility
- Lead and manage process design and optimization projects from concept to execution.
- Develop and review mass and energy balances, simulations, and equipment requirements.
- Model and optimize processes using Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, and HYSYS.
- Design reactors, separations units, and heat exchange networks; scale-up support.
- Perform HAZOP, risk assessments, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with operations, project managers, and suppliers to meet technical and schedule targets.
- Prepare technical reports, process descriptions, and capital/operating cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in chemical processing, petrochemical, or refinery environments.
- Strong proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
- Solid knowledge of mass and energy balances, P&ID, reactor design, and separations equipment.
- Experience with safety analysis (HAZOP, LOPA) and process safety management.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- US work authorization or the ability to obtain it; willingness to travel as needed.
