Responsibility
- Lead civil design and analysis for municipal and transportation projects.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IBC, AASHTO, ACI, OSHA and local standards; perform QA/QC reviews.
- Conduct site visits, investigations, and constructability reviews; supervise field staff.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and client presentations.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to obtain approvals and permits.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within 12-24 months.
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design, project management, and delivery of municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation; experience with hydraulic/hydrology software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) and project scheduling tools.
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards (IBC, AASHTO, ACI, OSHA) and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills; proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (up to 15%).
