Responsibility
- Lead civil design projects from concept through construction, ensuring scope, quality, and schedule are met
- Develop and review plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals
- Perform geotechnical and drainage analyses, hydrology studies, and structural assessments as needed
- Manage project documentation, budgets, risk registers, and change orders
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, promoting best practices and professional growth
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, IBC, NFPA, OSHA)
- Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and monitor field construction to ensure plan conformance
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license or active eligibility preferred
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience in infrastructure or transportation projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS
- Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, and sustainable design practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Experience with project management, budgeting, and client coordination
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required (up to 15%)
