Responsibility
- Lead civil design for transportation and site development projects from intake to construction documents.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate drainage, stormwater, earthwork, and utility analyses.
- Develop specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules; manage budgets and resources.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and standards (WSDOT, AASHTO, IBC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders during permitting and public meetings.
- Oversee quality control and QC/QA reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualification
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S. preferred; PE license in Washington or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 5+ years of civil engineering design experience on transportation or site development projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; working knowledge of Revit; familiarity with MicroStation a plus.
- Strong knowledge of drainage, hydrology, grading, and stormwater management; experience with permit applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills; commitment to safety and quality.
