Join our dynamic Civil Engineering team as a Senior Civil Engineer in Los Angeles. Our firm delivers complex public works and private development projects with a focus on sustainability, safety, and efficiency. You will lead design efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
We are seeking a proactive leader who can drive technical excellence, manage project scope, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage civil engineering design for transportation, drainage, utilities, and site development projects.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets; ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review technical calculations, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM processes.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams; provide regular progress reporting.
- Perform site visits, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate professional development.
- Support permitting, environmental and safety reviews; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Lead bidding and procurement support; manage change orders and project closeout.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred in California.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and BIM workflows; experience with GIS a plus.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IBC, AASHTO, Caltrans standards).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% if required.
