As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will manage multidisciplinary project teams, oversee design development, coordinate with clients and agencies, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and drive successful project outcomes from concept through construction.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- Prepare and review technical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes (IBC, AASHTO, ACI, OSHA) and quality assurance procedures.
- Support permitting, bid processes, and client communications; provide responses to RFIs and change orders.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians; lead design reviews and project meetings.
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and progress tracking; monitor budgets and schedules.
- Conduct site visits, oversee field inspections, and support construction administration as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or active in field with eligibility to obtain within 12 months
- Minimum 5-7 years of civil design and project management experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM (Revit), StormCAD, or similar software; strong CAD drafting skills
- Solid understanding of civil design standards, codes (IBC, AASHTO, ACI), and permitting processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with internal teams and consultants, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
