Responsibility
- Lead civil design and analysis for transportation and site development projects from concept to completion.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to obtain approvals and ensure compliance.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, risk, and change orders while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee construction administration, field inspections, and contractor coordination on site works.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting best practices in design and project execution.
- Develop QA/QC procedures and ensure alignment with applicable codes and standards.
- Support business development efforts through technical proposals and client relationships.
Qualification
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Ontario or eligibility to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design, water resources, or transportation projects.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and BIM workflows; experience with Revit is a plus.
- Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards (Ontario Building Code OBC, MTO standards, AASHTO, CSA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel to site locations as needed.
- Proven track record delivering on-time, on-budget projects with a focus on safety and quality.
