Job description

Pinnacle Civil Consultants, Inc. is seeking a results-driven Civil Engineer to join our Seattle office and lead design, analysis, and project coordination for a portfolio of public and private sector projects. Responsibility

  • Lead civil design and project coordination for site development, transportation, and utility projects from concept through construction.
  • Prepare and review designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates across multiple projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drafters, ensuring quality deliverables and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards, perform design checks, and implement QC processes.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors; manage permitting, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans to meet milestones.
  • Conduct field investigations and construction observations to verify conformance and resolve field issues.

Qualification

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; earned or capable of obtaining a Professional Engineer license in Washington or another state.
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience in site development, drainage, roadway, and utility design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation; experience with BIM workflows is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IBC, AASHTO, Washington State DOT standards, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills; ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to balance technical tasks with client-facing responsibilities and manage competing priorities in a hybrid work environment.
