We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and delivery from concept through construction, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Responsibility
- Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including streets, drainage, utilities, and site development.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates in collaboration with CAD technicians and designers.
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and monitor risk to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, survey, and municipal stakeholders for approvals and permits.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee CAD/BIM modeling using Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Conduct site visits, construction phase administration, and quality control inspections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Support business development through technical proposals and client presentations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; licensed P.Eng in Ontario or eligible to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and BIM software; experience with STAAD.Pro or SAP2000 is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, MTO standards, and municipal permit processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and construction sites as needed.
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
