Join NorthStar Civil & Infrastructure, a premier engineering firm delivering complex infrastructure projects across the Seattle region. We’re seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design, oversight, and execution of municipal and transportation projects from concept to construction.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams through project delivery from concept to permit-ready documentation.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; monitor progress and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, utilities, and contractors; oversee permitting, approvals, and right-of-way processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers; provide technical leadership and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, DOT, local regulations) and perform constructability reviews.
- Review contractor submittals, RFI responses, and change orders; support construction administration and site visits.
- Contribute to proposals and business development opportunities to grow the firm’s civil practice.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or ability to obtain quickly.
- 5+ years of experience in civil infrastructure, roadway, drainage, and utility design.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, and Microsoft Office; exposure to STAAD.Pro or similar structural analysis software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements; experience with permitting processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven project management and client coordination skills.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and travel regionally if required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail in complex projects.
