Quek Hock Seng Construction (Pte) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to lead and deliver complex infrastructure and building projects in Singapore. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will drive technical excellence, compliance, and on-time performance across multiple sites, while supporting your own career growth within a stable, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
In this role, you will manage mid-to-large scale projects from concept through commissioning, coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will lead design reviews, prepare technical specifications, bill of quantities, cost estimates, and manage change orders. You will mentor junior engineers and engineers-in-training, promote best practices in project controls, risk management, and value engineering, and contribute to bid and proposal activities as needed.

Key qualifications for the role include a degree in Civil Engineering, professional registration (for example P.E. or C.E. in Singapore preferred), and 8+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design tools, strong written and verbal communication, and a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget are essential. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end management of civil engineering projects from feasibility to commissioning across multiple sites.
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with BCA codes, safety regulations, and quality standards on all works.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to drive project success.
- Provide site supervision and technical guidance; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, review performance, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Prepare progress reports, change orders, risk assessments, and value engineering recommendations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or building projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CE) registration in Singapore preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Tekla) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (BCA, NHB, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
