Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and analysis of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, grading, and site development.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to drive project success and timely deliverables.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and procurement activities from concept to construction.
- Oversee permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and CAD technicians; review design work for quality assurance.
- Ensure safety, sustainability, and quality assurance across all project phases, applying industry best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain quickly.
- Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience in infrastructure design and project delivery.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation; working knowledge of BIM tools and REVIT is a plus.
- Experience with drainage design, grading, roadway design, and permitting per TxDOT or local standards.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and project-management skills; able to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and sustainable design practices; valid driver’s license; willingness to travel as needed.
