We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to contribute to multidisciplinary projects spanning transportation, site development, water resources, and structural disciplines. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver high-quality designs, manage project milestones, and mentor junior staff. You will work with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes from concept through construction.
Responsibility
- Lead civil design for transportation, site development, drainage, and utility projects from concept to issued for construction.
- Prepare and review technical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications using CAD/BIM tools.
- Coordinate with surveyors, geomatics, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
- Support project delivery with estimating, scheduling, risk assessment, and value engineering.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and QA/QC activities to ensure accuracy and buildability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain TX PE within 1 year.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in civil design and project delivery.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and BIM software; working knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in hydraulic, structural, or geotechnical analysis as applicable.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities; adept at presenting complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with transportation, drainage, water resources, or site development projects and familiarity with permitting processes.
