Join Lumen Civil & Infrastructure, a leading engineering firm specializing in transportation, water resources, and heavy civil projects. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex infrastructure design, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
You will play a pivotal role in design development, technical reviews, and project delivery. This role requires strong leadership, practical field knowledge, and the ability to translate client goals into actionable plans.
Responsibility
- Lead and review civil infrastructure design for transportation, drainage, utilities, and site development projects.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers, designers, and technicians; foster a collaborative, safety-first culture.
- Develop technical proposals, perform scope definitions, and prepare cost estimates and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and consultants to secure permits and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with code and standards (AASHTO, IBC, local regulations) and perform QA/QC reviews.
- Oversee BIM/CAD workflows (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) and ensure model accuracy and data integrity.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules; manage risk and change orders effectively.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and data collection to support design decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE licensure in Texas (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in civil infrastructure projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and BIM workflows
- Experience with drainage, roadway design, utilities, and site development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Knowledge of MS Office, scheduling software, and QA/QC processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables under tight deadlines
