Join Apex Civil Solutions, a premier civil engineering firm focused on resilient infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and project delivery for street, drainage, and site development projects in the San Jose region.
In this role you will manage technical scopes, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will leverage BIM, CAD, and model based workflows to deliver high quality, risk aware designs on time and within budget.

Responsibility
- Lead the technical design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, utilities, and site development
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
- Ensure compliance with codes and regulatory approvals including AASHTO, IBC, NEC, and ADA where applicable
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and CAD technicians; assign tasks and review work
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk registers; monitor progress and report status
- Implement BIM and model based design workflows using Civil 3D; ensure quality control and constructability reviews
- Conduct site visits, risk assessments, and provide design recommendations for sustainability and resilience
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer license preferred or actively pursuing
- 5+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, CivilDesigner and BIM tools; Revit experience is a plus
- Experience with drainage design, utility coordination, road geometry, grading and earthwork estimation
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements; ability to obtain permits
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client facing skills; proven track record delivering projects on time and on budget
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 or SAP is a plus
