As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead design and project delivery for municipal and transportation initiatives, driving excellence from concept through construction.
Responsibility
- Lead civil design and delivery for municipal, transportation, and water resources projects.
- Manage interdisciplinary teams; coordinate with architects, geotechnical, MEP engineers.
- Develop and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, OHSA, environmental and sustainability standards.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules; monitor progress; manage risks and change control.
- Conduct site visits, quality control checks, and constructability reviews.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders; prepare progress reports and permit applications.
- Mentor junior engineers; support business development and proposals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible to obtain within 12 months.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, transportation, or water resources.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit/BIM; experience with hydraulic/hydrology modeling.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, OHSA, and environmental regulations.
- Proven project management experience; ability to lead proposals, manage budgets, and schedules.
- Excellent communication, leadership, client-facing skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Local knowledge of Toronto area codes, processes, and regulatory agencies.
