Responsibility
- Lead and manage civil design efforts for transportation, drainage, and utility infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
- Develop design plans, technical specifications, load calculations, and cost estimates in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with codes, permits, and schedules.
- Oversee CAD/BIM modeling (AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM workflows) and drawing production with rigorous QA/QC processes.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources; mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and reports; lead design reviews and value engineering sessions.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and presentations for clients and authorities.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure, transportation, drainage, or site development projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation and BIM experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, DOT specifications) and regulatory permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-relations skills; proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience with project management software, scheduling, and cost-control; safety-focused approach.
