NorthStar Civil Engineering, Inc. is a premium firm delivering innovative infrastructure solutions across municipal and private sectors. We are seeking a motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our Seattle team and lead complex projects from concept through construction.
In this role, you will collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet regulatory requirements and project milestones.
Responsibility
- Lead design and analysis for municipal infrastructure projects including transportation corridors, drainage, and utilities.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and quality control processes.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain permits.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO/IBC/FEA standards and company QA/QC procedures.
- Conduct site visits, construction administration, and contractor coordination to ensure conformance with design intent.
- Mentor junior engineers, review work products, and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred or active EIT with intent to obtain PE within 2 years.
- 5+ years of civil/site development, transportation, or water resources experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit; familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities; client-facing experience a plus.
- Experience with project management, scheduling, and client liaison; willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
