Join Apex Civil Solutions, a forward thinking civil engineering firm delivering transformative urban infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex transportation and urban development projects from concept through construction.
In this role you will mentor junior engineers, manage cross functional teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive value engineering and sustainable design solutions.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage civil engineering design teams on transportation and land development projects
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget with strong focus on quality and safety
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies for permits and approvals
- Develop and review designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM 360, and related tools
- Perform technical analyses including drainage, roadway design, and grading plans
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development
- Prepare and review project proposals, reports, and specifications
- Drive sustainable design and value engineering opportunities
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master in Civil Engineering; PE license in Washington or ability to obtain
- Minimum 7-10 years of civil infrastructure design experience
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM, and MS Office
- Experience with transportation projects, drainage design, grading, and stormwater management
- Proven project management and client facing skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration
- Knowledge of local codes and standards in Washington
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
