Global Lexicon Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Conference Interpreter to join our London-based team. You will provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation across high-profile conferences, legal briefings, and medical symposiums. This role demands precision, cultural nuance, and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Ideal candidates will be fluent in at least two languages, with proven experience in booth work, terminology management, and discreet handling of confidential information. You will collaborate with event producers, clients, and interpreters to ensure flawless language delivery and client satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for live events, virtual sessions, and hybrid meetings.
- Prepare and maintain specialized glossaries, memory aids, and topic briefs for assigned assignments.
- Manage booth operations, audio feeds, and interaction with over speakers and clients to ensure clear communication.
- Support event organizers with run-of-show planning and on-site linguistic needs.
- Mentor junior interpreters, provide post-event feedback, and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and professional conduct in all assignments.
- Adapt rapidly to diverse subject matters, including legal, medical, technical, and corporate content.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional interpretation experience, with at least 2 years in conference or court/medical settings.
- Fluent proficiency in English plus at least two additional languages; native-level proficiency preferred.
- Certified or recognized accreditation in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
- Strong booth experience, sound technical literacy, and experience with interpretation equipment and remote interpreting platforms.
- Excellent memory, note-taking, and terminology management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and client-facing communication abilities; able to work under tight deadlines.
