Responsibility
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for conferences, meetings, and remote sessions in English and multiple languages.
- Pre-event preparation including glossary creation, terminology research, and briefing with clients and project teams.
- Lead booth operations, equipment checks, and coordination with event staff to ensure seamless delivery.
- Deliver high quality interpretations in real time while maintaining neutrality, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, allocate resources, and manage risk during events.
- Support post event debriefs, quality assurance, and ongoing improvement of interpretation workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and industry standards at all times.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in conference interpretation, linguistics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional interpretation certification preferred (AIIC, NAD, or national body).
- 5+ years of experience as a conference interpreter with strong performance in both consecutive and simultaneous modes.
- Fluency in English plus at least two additional languages; mother tongue preferred for one language pair.
- Excellent memory, note-taking, listening, and multitasking abilities with strong focus under time pressure.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and platforms (console systems, headsets, Zoom with interpretation, Interprefy, KUDO, etc.).
- Strong client-facing communication, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
