Job description

PinnacleBuild Solutions is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction initiatives in the New York City area. You will oversee all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage on-site construction activities across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget control.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, procurement strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align scope and expectations.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks; manage change orders and cost implications with transparent stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, inspections, and safety regulations (OSHA 30+).
  • Monitor progress and performance metrics; prepare regular field and client reports for stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise junior project staff and field supervision to foster high performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure project closeout documentation and warranties are complete.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of construction project management experience on large-scale commercial or institutional projects.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget; strong cost control and value engineering skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and field software (MS Project, Procore, Primavera, BIM tools).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and collaboration abilities with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations (OSHA 30 or equivalent), and quality control processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and constructability reviews; data-driven decision maker.
  • Professional certification such as PMP or CCM is preferred.
