In this role, you will provide authoritative advice on complex corporate matters, lead high-stakes negotiations, and partner with executives to drive business success while ensuring rigorous risk management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage complex corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Draft, negotiate, and execute high-value contracts and transactional documents with precision.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to senior leadership, shaping business decisions and risk management.
- Oversee regulatory compliance programs and implement proactive governance measures across functions.
- Coordinate external counsel, supervise matter strategy, and manage budget and timelines.
- Mentor and develop junior attorneys and paralegals; foster a culture of excellence.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across a growing portfolio of matters and geographies.
Qualification
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in New York.
- 7+ years of meaningful experience in corporate law, M&A, or high-stakes litigation.
- Proven track record of leading negotiations and closing complex transactions.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department in a NYC market.
