Join Apex Risk Solutions as a Senior Crisis Management Lead and shape enterprise-wide resilience in fast-paced environments. You will drive crisis readiness, oversee incident response, and partner with executives to safeguard operations, employees, and brand reputation.
We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on professional with deep crisis experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to turn disruption into structured, actionable recovery plans.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s crisis management program, including playbooks, escalation paths, and governance with senior leadership.
- Oversee simulated exercises and real incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Security, Legal, HR) under a formal Incident Command structure.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans; establish recovery objectives, RTOs, and RPOs; validate through drills.
- Lead crisis communications strategy: timely, accurate messaging to executives, employees, customers, regulators, and media; manage internal and external channels during events.
- Perform proactive risk assessments, monitor threat landscape, and implement mitigation actions to reduce exposure to critical events.
- Coordinate after-action reviews, capture lessons learned, and drive program improvements; track metrics and reporting to executives.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, IT, Facilities, and HR to align crisis response with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and workforce continuity.
Qualification
- 8+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, or incident response in large organizations.
- Proven track record leading incident response during significant disruptions; familiar with ICS or equivalent command structures.
- Professional certifications such as CBCP, CISM, CMP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to brief C-suite and board members with clarity under pressure.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills; data-driven decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, emergency management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, technology) is a plus; proficient in risk assessment tools and analytics.
