Pulse Media Group is seeking a data-driven, ambitious Senior Digital Journalist to lead fast-paced reporting in our New York newsroom. This role blends investigative storytelling with audience-first digital publishing, encompassing text, video, and interactive formats.
In this role, you will own feature angles, collaborate with editors, verify facts rigorously, and mentor junior reporters. You'll thrive in a deadline-driven environment and adapt to evolving newsroom workflows while upholding the highest standards of journalism and ethics.

Responsibility
- Lead development of investigative and feature stories for digital platforms with compelling narrative and strong sourcing
- Plan, assign, and edit coverage across breaking news, features, and data-driven investigations
- Coordinate with photo/video teams to produce multimedia storytelling and compelling visuals
- Fact-check with rigor, adhere to AP style, and ensure accuracy under tight deadlines
- Mentor junior reporters, interns, and freelancers; provide constructive feedback
- Utilize SEO best practices and analytics to maximize reach and audience engagement
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional journalism experience, with a strong portfolio of investigative or long-form reporting
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency with data journalism techniques and tools; ability to interpret datasets
- Experience with multimedia storytelling (video, podcasts, interactive graphics)
- Strong newsroom collaboration and project management abilities
- Comfort with tight deadlines, high-pressure environments, and frequent travel
