Responsibility
- Develop and produce in-depth news stories, features, and investigative reports for multiple platforms.
- Generate story ideas, conduct high-impact interviews, and verify facts with precision.
- Build and maintain trusted sources, with strong emphasis on ethics and transparency.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and producers to craft compelling multimedia packages.
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
- Mentor junior reporters and contribute to newsroom training and best practices.
- Represent the organization publicly, including speaking with audiences and participating in community events.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of reporting experience in fast-paced news environments.
- Proven track record of investigative reporting and feature storytelling.
- Strong interviewing, source development, and fact-checking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with editorial judgment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency with newsroom CMS, SEO, and digital analytics; basic multimedia skills a plus.
- Commitment to ethics, accuracy, and inclusivity in reporting.
