Job description

Global Accord Institute is seeking a Senior Diplomacy Advisor to advance our international policy initiatives and multilateral engagements. This Geneva-based role offers a unique opportunity to shape diplomatic strategy, engage with key partners, and drive impactful outcomes in a complex global landscape.

As part of our Diplomacy & International Relations team, you will lead high-stakes negotiations, analyze geopolitical developments, and craft policy recommendations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Responsibility

  • Lead and coordinate high-level diplomacy and multilateral negotiations with international partners in Europe, North America, and beyond.
  • Develop strategic policy proposals and negotiation briefs for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor geopolitical developments, risk assessments, and regional dynamics; deliver concise, actionable reports to the C-suite and partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with embassies, international organizations, think tanks, and government agencies.
  • Represent the organization in diplomatic forums, summits, and negotiating sessions; facilitate consensus and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage project teams, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of policy initiatives, events, and publications.
  • Design and deliver stakeholder engagement programs, including high-level briefings, seminars, and public outreach.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field; PhD a plus.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in diplomacy, government, or international affairs with a track record in negotiations and policy influence.
  • Deep understanding of multilateral diplomacy (UN, EU, Geneva-based bodies) and international policy processes.
  • Fluency in English; French or another official Swiss language is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to translate complex topics into clear briefs for diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management, political acumen, and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven research, policy analysis, and geopolitical forecasting capabilities; experience with data-driven decision making.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
