Global Diplomacy Institute is seeking a Diplomacy Analyst to advance innovative policy programs and support high-stakes diplomacy initiatives in Brussels. This is a high-impact role for professionals dedicated to international affairs and constructive engagement across public and private sectors.
As part of a cross-functional team, you will translate complex geopolitical developments into actionable policy recommendations, coordinate with international partners, and contribute to strategic negotiations and multilateral dialogue.
Responsibility
- Monitor geopolitical developments and assess their implications for EU and global policy.
- Draft policy briefs, position papers, and negotiation materials for senior leadership and partners.
- Prepare briefing materials for high-level meetings and interagency dialogues.
- Coordinate with government officials, think tanks, NGOs, and multilateral organizations.
- Lead research design, data collection, and project deliverables on diplomacy initiatives.
- Represent the organization in stakeholder forums and public diplomacy activities as needed.
- Mentor and develop junior analysts to strengthen the diplomacy practice.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, or international affairs.
- Strong writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to produce concise, policy-relevant documents.
- Fluent in English; additional EU languages (French, Dutch, or German) highly desirable.
- Proven negotiation experience and familiarity with multilateral institutions (EU, UN, NATO, etc.).
- Ability to work in Brussels and travel as required; eligibility to work in Belgium.
- Strong research methodology, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
