Job description

TechNova Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our innovative product development team in Austin, TX. You will design, analyze, and test power electronics, analog and digital circuits, and drive reliability across consumer and industrial applications. As part of our design team, you will contribute to architectural decisions, validate designs with rigorous testing, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and EMI standards. Your work will directly influence product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end circuit design for analog, digital, and power electronics from concept through prototyping and validation.
  • Develop and optimize DC-DC converters, power management schemes, and low-noise precision analog circuits.
  • Create robust schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools; perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses.
  • Execute thorough verification and testing plans, including design reviews, EMI/EMC assessments, and reliability testing.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and testability of designs.
  • Document designs, generate BOMs, and support NPI through production ramp.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics product development for commercial or industrial applications.
  • Strong proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence).
  • Experienced in power electronics, DC-DC converters, LDOs, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal management.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards, safety certifications (UL, CE) and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project-management skills; able to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
