Job description
Join NovaVolt Electronics, a leading innovator in electrical systems and power electronics. We seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, and bring to life complex analog/digital circuits and power modules for automotive, industrial, and consumer applications. This role combines hands-on development with system-level thinking in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As a key member of our hardware team, you will translate requirements into robust hardware solutions, influence product direction, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality, reliable products.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and verification of analog/digital circuits, including power electronics, signal conditioning, and control systems.
- Develop and maintain schematic capture, PCB layouts, and packaging for high-reliability products.
- Perform system-level analysis: thermal, EMI/EMC, reliability, and FMEA.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to drive product success from concept to production.
- Own test strategies: designing test plans, debugging hardware prototypes, and leading design reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design-for-test (DFT) processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, UL) as applicable.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analog/digital circuit design and power electronics.
- Strong proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and PCB CAD tools (Altium, Cadence, or equivalent).
- Hands-on prototyping, lab skills, and experience with high-power systems, EMI/EMC.
- Experience in PCB layout, signal integrity, thermal management, and reliability.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of safety/regulatory standards and design-for-test principles.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed (5-10%).
