Responsibility
- Lead electrical system design from concept to production, including power electronics, control strategies, and safety considerations.
- Develop and validate schematics, PCB layouts, and enclosure designs using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Perform simulations (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) to verify performance and reliability.
- Oversee prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting, and drive root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Establish design documentation, risk assessments, and qualification tests for regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and milestones.
- Support production during scale-up and provide technical leadership for post-market issues.
Qualification
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field; 5+ years of industry experience in power electronics or embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, power converters, and control systems.
- Experience with PCB design (Altium/OrCAD), EA tools, and enclosure design.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and simulation-driven development.
- Hands-on experience with hardware testing, instrumentation, and lab equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards (UL/CE) and regulatory compliance processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and travel up to 15% as needed.
