Job description
NovaTech Innovations is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and verification of analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and embedded interfaces for our next-gen products. You will influence product strategy and ensure design-for-reliability from concept through production.
This role offers hands-on ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to mentor engineers. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility in Austin.
We value curious minds, practical problem solving, and a bias for action. If you love turning complex requirements into robust hardware, we want you.
Responsibility
- Lead electrical system architecture and schematic capture for analog/digital, power electronics, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Develop and execute design verification plans, simulations (SPICE, thermal, signal integrity), and lab testing.
- Own PCB layout reviews, DFx considerations, and manufacturing handoffs with contract manufacturers.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test teams to deliver robust products on schedule.
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to design documentation, and support IP generation.
- Drive reliability, design for test, and regulatory compliance (IEC/UL/CE where applicable).
- Support production ramp, field failure analysis, and product lifecycle management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Masterβs degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on hardware design experience in high-rel environments; experience with power electronics a plus.
- Strong expertise in analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, SPICE, signal integrity, and power integrity.
- Experience with FPGA or microcontroller firmware integration; HDL knowledge is a plus.
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, thermal management, and component selection for reliability.
- Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium or Cadence), simulation (SPICE), MATLAB, and lab equipment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; able to lead cross-functional initiatives.
