We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, and bring to life high-performance electronics from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers. This role offers growth, mentorship, and the chance to contribute to transformative projects in a fast-paced environment.
Based in Austin, TX, VectorVolt Technologies offers a collaborative culture, competitive compensation, and a strong focus on work-life balance. If you are passionate about solving complex electrical challenges and delivering reliable, scalable solutions, we want to hear from you.
Responsibility
- Lead electrical system design for new products from concept through production, including analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and control interfaces.
- Develop and review schematics, PCB layouts, and build BOMs using Altium Designer and mainstream EDA tools.
- Model and simulate circuits and power electronics using MATLAB/Simulink to validate performance and reliability.
- Ensure electronics meet EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory standards; oversee testing, validation, and certification activities.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and firmware teams to define interfaces, tolerances, and integration plans.
- Own design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFMEA) activities and support supplier selection and qualification.
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred; U.S. work authorization required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical/electronic design for high-reliability products.
