VoltForge Industrial Electronics is redefining power electronics for automotive, industrial, and renewable energy markets. We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to design and validate high-efficiency power converters and embedded control systems. This role is based in San Jose, CA, and offers a collaborative lab environment, modern tools, and clear paths for growth.
Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize analog and digital circuits, with emphasis on power electronics and control systems.
- Lead PCB layout from schematic capture to manufacturability, including signal integrity and EMI considerations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, characterize prototypes, and validate performance against specifications.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into robust hardware solutions.
- Model and simulate behavior using MATLAB/Simulink; perform thermal analysis and reliability assessments.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, CE) and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to the establishment of best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics and analog/digital circuit design.
- Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium Designer and Cadence; PCB design and layout expertise.
- Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE simulations, and circuit modeling.
- Practical knowledge of power converters (DC-DC, AC-DC), motor drives, EMI/EMC, and thermal management.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards (IEC 61000, UL, CE); ability to create and maintain documentation.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; proven project leadership.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
