VoltEdge Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specialized in power electronics to lead the design, development, and verification of advanced electrical systems for energy-efficient products.
In this full-time role, you will collaborate with mechanical, software, and QA teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet safety and performance standards. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to IP development, prototypes, and production-ready designs.
We offer a collaborative, fast-paced environment with opportunities to influence product direction and work on cutting-edge power conversion technologies.
Responsibility
- Design and analyze power electronics circuits (DC-DC, DC-AC, and motor drives) across multiple product lines.
- Lead circuit simulations and modeling (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) to validate performance and reliability.
- Develop and review schematics and PCB layouts; optimize for manufacturability and thermal management.
- Perform thermal analysis, reliability assessment, and life-cycle testing to ensure product longevity.
- Own verification plans, test methods, and test hardware for EMI/EMC, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to integrate power electronics with control systems.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and contribute to IP development and documentation.
Qualification
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics, high-efficiency converters, or motor drives.
- Proficient with Spice-based simulations ( LTSpice, PSpice) and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Hands-on PCB design experience with tools such as Altium, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC, safety standards (UL, IEC 61000, EN 60601 as applicable).
- Experience with thermal design, heatsinking, and thermal modeling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier and customer engagements.
