Job description
Join LumenForge Technologies as a Senior Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX. You will lead the design, validation, and optimization of high-reliability electrical systems for our next-generation products.
We seek a hands-on engineer who can bridge hardware and software, from concept through qualification, while ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions for industrial, automotive, and smart-grid applications.
Responsibility
- Lead analog and digital circuit design, including power electronics and control loops for embedded platforms.
- Develop and review schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools (Altium, Cadence, KiCad).
- Prototype, test, and validate hardware through structured experiments and data analysis.
- Develop firmware interfaces and collaborate with software teams to integrate hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMI, safety, and regulatory standards (IEC, UL) throughout development.
- Perform reliability analysis, root-cause investigations, and design-for-test (DFT) improvements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, mechanical, and QA teams to enable smooth production transfers and documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on circuit design experience (analog, digital, and power electronics).
- Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, Cadence) and SPICE-based simulators; PCB layout best practices.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (ARM, C/C++).
- Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI, signal integrity, and test methodologies.
- Experience with hardware testing, lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer), and data-driven debugging.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (DFM/DFT) and quality standards; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
