Join Aurora GridTech, a leading innovator in electrical power solutions for utility-scale and industrial clients. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize complex power networks and lead project teams from concept through commissioning.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective energy systems that meet NERC/IEEE standards and client requirements.
Responsibility
- Lead electrical power systems design for utility-scale projects from concept to commissioning.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination analyses using PSS/E, ETAP or SKM.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and interconnection documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, grid operators, and clients to ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE standards.
- Support commissioning activities, FAT/SAT, and performance testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems engineering for utility-scale or industrial projects.
- Proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP, SKM; experience with AutoCAD or CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV system design, protection coordination, and relay settings.
- Familiarity with NERC and IEEE standards; experience with interconnection processes and grid codes.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility in the United States is desirable.
- Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
