Job description
Micron Semiconductors is seeking a Senior Engineer focused on Process Development for Photolithography in NAND memory manufacturing. This role is based in Singapore and offers a unique opportunity to drive breakthrough improvements on our advanced memory platforms, partnering with global teams to deliver next-generation memory performance and reliability.
In this role you will own the end-to-end development of photolithography processes, from resist chemistry and exposure through post-exposure bake, metrology, and defect reduction. You will design and execute experiments, analyze data, and translate lab-scale successes into scalable manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with equipment engineers, yield and reliability teams, and manufacturing operations to optimize process windows, control CD and overlay, and improve throughput and yield. You will participate in safety, cleanroom discipline, and equipment maintenance programs to ensure robust, repeatable results in a high-volume environment.
To succeed, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills, with a data-driven mindset and a passion for innovation in memory technology. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional team and is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This role offers a clear path for professional growth, opportunities to contribute to internal technology roadmaps, and the satisfaction of delivering memory solutions that empower customers worldwide.
Responsibility
- Lead photolithography process development for NAND memory fabrication, optimizing critical dimensions, overlay, resist chemistry, bake profiles, and defectivity.
- Design and execute robust DOE experiments to characterize process windows and establish reliable manufacturing recipes.
- Collaborate with equipment engineering, materials science, and manufacturing teams to transfer processes from lab to high-volume production.
- Analyze process data, drive yield improvements, and implement control strategies to minimize process variability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, manufacturing instructions, and process control plans.
- Troubleshoot defects and process anomalies using metrology tools (CD-SEM, scatterometry, metrology) and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead project plans, and present findings to cross-functional leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanroom standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; PhD considered a plus.
