Join NorthBridge Global Translations as a Senior English-French Translator. You will collaborate with enterprise clients in tech, legal, and marketing to deliver precise, culturally accurate translations that resonate with target audiences. Responsibility
- Translate complex documents from English to French and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, style, and tone aligned with client expectations.
- Maintain consistency using translation memories and updated glossaries; actively manage terminology across projects.
- Perform quality assurance reviews, proofreading, and editing to meet strict client standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, and subject matter experts to resolve terminology issues and improve processes.
- Localize content for target markets including websites, marketing collateral, manuals, and help documentation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior translators and provide feedback to uphold quality and consistency across teams.
- Adhere to client style guides, industry standards, and data security requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor or higher degree in translation, linguistics or a related field
- 5+ years of professional English-French translation experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in CAT tools such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, or Wordfast
- Excellent terminology management and glossary development skills
- Strong QA skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent time management
- Native or near-native fluency in English and French, with strong writing and editing capabilities
- Experience with localization for tech, software, or legal content is preferred
