Responsibility

  • Lead multi-disciplinary environmental engineering projects from scoping through execution, including planning, design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Perform environmental impact assessments, risk analyses, and sustainability evaluations to guide design decisions.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications (CEQA/NEPA, NPDES, SWPPP) and interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Lead field investigations, data collection, hydrogeology studies, and site remediation planning as needed.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Develop proposals and support business development efforts with technical insights and client presentations.
  • Utilize GIS, modeling tools, and CAD software to produce robust technical deliverables and environmental data analyses.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental engineering, with emphasis on water resources, wastewater, or remediation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
  • Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA, NPDES, RCRA, and relevant environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS), hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, AutoCAD/CAD, and data analysis software.
  • Demonstrated project management, client communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
