GreenNova Engineering is seeking a results-driven Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Seattle-based team. This role focuses on sustainable water resources, wastewater treatment, air quality, and environmental compliance projects for municipal and industrial clients. You will lead technical work, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff to deliver high-impact solutions that protect public health and ecosystems.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from scope through delivery, ensuring on-time and within-budget performance.
- Design and optimize water resources, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management solutions using industry-standard software and modeling tools.
- Assess environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (NEPA/CEQA where applicable), prepare permit applications, and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Perform field investigations, data collection, sampling plans, and risk assessments; translate findings into actionable design decisions.
- Develop and review technical reports, drawings, designs, and impact assessments for clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers, review work products for quality, and contribute to business development activities by preparing proposals and presenting project outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sustainable design initiatives, including energy efficiency, conservation, and environmental justice considerations.
- Support operations and asset management teams to optimize facility performance and compliance status.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 5+ years of experience in water resources, wastewater treatment, environmental remediation, or related practice area.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations (NEPA/CEQA knowledge is a plus) and permit processes.
- Proficiency in modeling and design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD/InfoWater, QGIS).
- Excellent project management, communication, and client-facing skills; ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with data analysis, technical reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel as needed for site visits and regulatory meetings (approximately 25-35%).
