Join a leading environmental engineering firm focused on delivering resilient solutions for water resources, sustainable remediation, and regulatory compliance. We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead complex projects for municipal and industrial clients in the Pacific Northwest.
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will direct technical work, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and regulators to design and implement practical, compliant solutions that protect public health and the environment.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Design and optimize water resources, stormwater, and wastewater management solutions.
- Perform hydrogeologic analyses, risk assessments, and remediation strategies as needed.
- Prepare permit applications and support regulatory approvals with agencies such as the Department of Environmental Quality and EPA.
- Provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
- Engage with clients, present findings, and support business development efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote professional growth through hands-on guidance and training.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage projects from scoping to completion, ensuring on time delivery and within budget.
- Develop and implement water resources and stormwater management designs.
- Conduct site assessments, modeling, and data analysis to inform decision making.
- Coordinate permitting, regulatory compliance, and reporting with agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, and hydrologic modeling tools to develop robust designs.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; MS preferred.
- Professional Engineer PE license in Oregon or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 5+ years of environmental engineering experience with a focus on water resources, remediation, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, DEQ) and permitting processes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS (ArcGIS), and hydrologic modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
- Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits and client meetings.
