Responsibility

  • Lead complex environmental engineering projects from scoping and planning through design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
  • Develop and review technical designs, assessments, and specifications for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliant, timely project delivery.
  • Perform environmental impact assessments, risk analyses, and feasibility studies using industry-standard tools.
  • Prepare permit applications, environmental management plans, and reporting deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Implement sustainable design practices, cost controls, and schedule management to optimize project outcomes.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals and client relationships.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in environmental engineering, preferably with water resources, wastewater, or air quality projects.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NEPA, Clean Water Act, NPDES, air permits) and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS), AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and engineering analysis software (HEC-RAS, EPA models).
  • Demonstrated project management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in WA within 12 months.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and report-writing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and project meetings.
