Based in Austin, Texas, we are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to lead projects from feasibility through implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, innovative solutions for water resources, air quality, soil and groundwater remediation, and waste management while ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory adherence.

Responsibility

  • Lead environmental assessments, risk evaluations, and feasibility studies for municipal and industrial projects.
  • Design and implement remediation and treatment systems for water, soil, and air quality issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, permitting applications, and regulatory submissions to meet project milestones and compliance.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and client/stakeholder communication from inception to closeout.
  • Perform hydrological, water balance, and air dispersion modeling using industry-standard software.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, engineers, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support business development through proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental engineering, site assessments, remediation, or regulatory compliance.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain with expedited path.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permitting processes and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar tools; experience with GIS is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, technical writing, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to prepare clear, actionable reports.
  • Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and engage with clients and stakeholders.
