As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will apply regulatory knowledge, perform risk assessments, design and optimize treatment systems, and support compliance with environmental permits.
Responsibility
- Lead environmental engineering projects from scoping through design and construction support, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Conduct site assessments, environmental impact analyses, and risk evaluations across water, soil, and air domains.
- Design or optimize treatment and remediation systems, including water treatment, groundwater remediation, or stormwater management.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, compliance plans, and mitigation strategies for regulators and clients.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions and navigate permitting processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, supervise fieldwork, and contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental engineering with demonstrated project leadership.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or ability to obtain; knowledge of EPA, Ecology WA, and local regulations.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, and modeling software.
- Strong written and verbal communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience with regulatory permitting, environmental site investigations, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations; willingness to travel as needed.
